The body of an unknown male has been discovered along second rainbow, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area following an accident that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to a Motorcycle rider who is an eyewitness, Murtala Mohammed said the deceased was a tax collector who tried to cross the road while intoxicated.
Mohammed stated that the collision was a mistake and that the victim was struck by a truck driver at around 2:00 AM.
A security personnel, Kunle Sani, said the incident was reported to him at about 6:00 AM and he is unable to determine what happened. Although he was informed that the victim was drunk and hit by a truck driver.
He said he attempted to identify the body but the deceased’s face was disfigured.
Badmus Matthew, a member of the Road Transport Employees Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), stated he was unable to tell if the victim was a colleague because the face was entirely disfigured.
