An RO plant should ideally undergo preventive RO plant service at least every six months. Sediment and carbon pre-filters usually require replacement every 3–6 months depending on water quality and usage. The RO membrane typically lasts 1–2 years but benefits from annual cleaning to prevent scaling and fouling.

In high-demand or industrial settings, service intervals may need to be more frequent—every 3–4 months—to maintain peak performance. Service visits often include pressure testing, flow rate checks, and exact measurements of TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) to ensure filtration efficiency.

Consistent maintenance not only ensures safe, pure water output but also protects the system’s components and reduces energy consumption. Neglecting these maintenance checks can significantly reduce the lifespan of your RO plant.
