Just wanted to share a positive experience because I know how rare it is to find honest mechanics these days. My Dodge Charger had been throwing an intermittent check engine light and a couple of shops I visited immediately started quoting me for oxygen sensors, catalytic converter, even suggested a full exhaust system replacement without doing any real diagnosis beyond reading the generic code. It just felt wrong to me so I kept looking and eventually found my way to a more specialized shop after searching for a Umm Suqeim cost-effective Dodge workshop that actually understands these cars properly. Ended up going to Dynostar based on several recommendations and the difference in approach was night and day, they actually did a proper diagnostic with live data monitoring and traced the issue to a small vacuum leak near the intake manifold that was throwing off the fuel trim readings. Fixed it in about an hour and the total bill was a fraction of what the other places quoted for unnecessary parts. The light has stayed off for three weeks now and the car is running smoother than it has in months. Not saying every issue will be that simple but it's refreshing to find a place that treats diagnosis as the first step rather than just throwing expensive parts at a problem and hoping one of them works. Anyone else tired of the guesswork approach at general garages or is it just me?
